Congratulations to Jessica and Drew!

Melissa and I had a blast with Jessica and Drew at their wedding celebration on September 18th. Truly a lovely, gracious couple with wonderful family and friends. They were married at the Mosaic Church in Portland. Jessica's gown was unique and looked beautiful on her. I met them the next day at the beach for a 2nd day shoot. Kenzie - Senior Photos

We spent almost an entire day on Kenzie's photo shoot. We were at an outdoor studio, the park, the studio, railroad tracks and the creek. I had a blast with her - a real natural in front of the camera.

Marquelle and Jared had a beautiful backyard wedding last weekend in celebration of their love. The property was amazing and the with gorgeous flowers and plants, many I have never seen before. Erika and Marcus recently became friends with me on Facebook and I have been enjoying watching them interact on this social media. It is so clear to me after spending time with them photographing their engagement shoot and seeing their Facebook messages to each that they are so in love. I can't wait to photograph their wedding next year.

WTG Brandi and Jason!

Melissa and I really enjoyed Brandi and Jason's wedding on August 7th. It was at the Arista Ballroom in Portland. The bride and groom were so easy to work with and the family and bridal party were wonderful too. They had a lovely wedding, loved the colors and the premises were fun to photograph. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Johnson

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Johnson who were married on Friday, August 6th at Sunset Beach on the Oregon Coast. It was a wonderful of wedding with family and friends. The sun came out for a few brief moments during the ceremony and allowed for some beautiful shots at the ceremony. The reception was at the Shiloh at Seaside and the meal was so impressive. We had such a blast with their photography. The Green Villa Barn in Independence was a beautiful place for a wedding - I think it is one of my favorite sites right now! Congratulations to Jessica and Jeremy who celebrated their love with their friends and family on July 10th at Warner Pacific College. This couple is so sweet and I enjoyed my day with them. What a beautiful day it was for Jennifer and Bryan's wedding! They were married on June 13 at Edgefield McMennamins and the grounds were gorgeous. Other than one angry golfer, the day was perfect! Dina and John Sohl were married on Saturday, June 5th at the Governor Hotel. It was a beautiful and elegant wedding. I was pleased to have the opportunity to be there to celebrate this couples love for each other. Congratulations to the happily married couple!

I finally got my garden planted and I have to keep replanting my vegetables because our 6 month old puppy keeps yanking my plants out. Can't wait till she's not a puppy anymore! She's got her eye on my Topsy Turvey tomato plant!

One, Two, Three, Four...ELEVEN!!!

I was so lucky to have an opportunity to take a workshop this last week from Kathi Lamm - famous pet photographer. The subjects for the class were ELEVEN 7 1/2 week old Irish Setter puppies. I didn't really think it was possible, but Kathi has pet photography down to a science. She topped her old record of 10 with this photo shoot and got adorable shots of all eleven pups. I learned so much and was so thankful for the opportunity to learn from Kathi. Here is the proof...

Joyce and Bob Balaski Wedding

It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding yesterday with Mr and Mrs Balaski. The entire family and friends were so warm and inviting. Casey and I felt like we were truly amidst friends and family, celebrating the love of Joyce and Bob. The ceremony was held at the Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Oswego and the reception was at the lovely Lake Oswego Country Club. It was a grand event with many, many friends and family there to celebrate with the wonderful couple. We had off and on rain but we were lucky enough to have a few minutes out on the green at the 8th hole to get a couple of great shots of the newlyweds. Casey and I were honored to be a part of this special day and thanks to Joyce and Bob, and all the lovely people there for including us in this special day. I met Joyce and Bob at Pittock Mansion last week for their engagement shoot. Joyce and I both love the grounds at the Mansion. This wonderful couple will be getting married this weekend on Saturday, May 22nd.

Jessica and Drew - Engagement

I got to spend some time yesterday with Jessica and Drew. They wanted an engagement shoot that was a little more uninhibited - catching them doing what they together. We started at Jessica's house and I captured images of something they do a lot together - reading. And then we traveled to Ventura Park in Portland. They were easy to capture in their element - they just did what they do together. Jessica and Drew will be celebrating their love in an exchange of vows on September 18, 2010.

Mr and Mrs Hepting

A glorious day, wonderful people, a lovely setting and a beautiful bride marrying the man she loves. Tia and Gary Hepting married on Saturday, May 8, 2010 in the West Linn Performing Arts Center. It was a gorgeous ceremony. It has to be one of the most beautiful I have had the honor of being a part of. The reception was at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland and it was a great celebration of the love that Tia and Gary share. I stopped by the family celebration at Garys' parents house the following day to drop off the newlyweds Honeymoon Mini Book and the family was so warm and welcoming. They invited me in to partake some delicious goodies - the best was the Maryland Crab Cakes. I learned the perfect way to prepare and eat these tasty treats. Thank you to Tia and Gary and all your family for letting Melissa and me be a part of your special day.

Amy and Bob - Engagement

What an honor it was to be able to shoot Amy and Bob's engagement session this past weekend. They are a lovely couple and it's not hard to see or feel the love they share for one another. Their deep connection to one another is felt every moment they spend with one another and at times its hard to keep a dry eye when they look into each others eyes. I am honored to be a part of their special day when they celebrate their love for one another on October 2nd. Tabby and Nathan - Engagement

I was lucky to have an opportunity to photography Tabby and Nathan yesterday. They are a a great couple who like to laugh and have fun. They have a beautiful 10 month old daughter, Kallista, who was perfectly content watching her mom and dad get their pictures taken and musing over the dogs that were going by. Tabby and Nathan are a perfect match for each other. It's hard to find that perfect person, the one that we are intended to be with and we don't always get it right the first time or the second time. Nicole and Kris - Engagement

When I woke up Monday morning, I looked outside and saw gray skies and rain. I said out loud..."Nooooo!" It just couldn't rain on Nicole and Kris! I hung in there through the day, just knowing the skies would clear up and the sun would come out. And, it did! I was lucky enough to get to spend time with Nicole and Kris and their little tyke, Jason. He was a great assistant for me through the shoot, he reminded Nicole and Kris to "give me your cheesiest smile". Thanks, Jason! That was a huge help! Jessica and Jeremy - Engagement

I had the honor of photographing Jessica and Jeremy yesterday at Mt. Tabor for their engagement session. They are getting married on July 10th at Warner Pacific College. I think Jessica and Jeremy are just the sweetest couple! They are both very warm and genuine people. Jessica is just a sweetie with a beautiful smile. I am honored to be a part of their special day. Mt. Tabor is a very special place for this couple. This is where Jeremy proposed to Jessica. There was a little discrepancy about which was the exact tree where the proposal happened, but we took pictures of the couple at both trees and it was all good. Marquelle and Jared Engagement

The wonderfully unpredictable Oregon weather has sure made it difficult for getting our engagement shoots in over the last several weeks. It was really up in the air in the beginning of the day on Tuesday, but by the late afternoon the skies had calmed down and it was nice enough that I was able to spend some time with Marquelle and Jared at Cook Park. They are such a sweet couple. They played on the swings and the playground and even got down on the damp ground for a couple of great shots. I look forward to their wedding coming up on November 12, 2010 in Ashland. The Southern Medford area is my old stomping grounds from my childhood and I am excited to see the newly renovated Ashland Springs Hotel, where Marq and Jared will be getting married. Tia and Gary Engagement Shoot

Yesterday I was able to spend time with the beautiful couple, Tia and Gary. We weren't quite sure if the weather would hold out for us. We were on the phone not long before our session was to begin and it was coming down pretty good. Just as we both arrived, the skies cleared up for a short time so we could get some great engagement photos with this wonderful couple. Tia and Gary's wedding is coming up soon. They will celebrate their love on May 8, 2010. I look forward to the day. Here are a few of my favorite shots from their engagement session.
